Stem Casters

Stem casters are available in a wide range of caster sizes and stem types. Stem casters are popular in light to medium duty caster applications and are normally faster and easier to install than top plate casters, however attaching a caster with a top plate is generally more stable, and capable of taking more weight and abuse than a stem caster.

Stem casters have unique applications where plate casters cannot be used. Some of these are: confined areas, limited mounting space, and insertions into sockets or tubes. Some of the Stem casters available are as follows: Threaded stem caster, Grip ring stem caster, square stem caster, round stem caster, expandable adapter stem caster. Standard finish on casters is zinc plating; however nickel, chrome, brass and stainless steel stem casters are available. Most stem casters are generally swivels. Custom made rigid stem casters are also available.
